In this two-lesson package, students will explore the concept of “personal branding” and learn practical steps they can take to build a positive personal brand that will impress potential employers. All this culminates in actionable job interview tips for students.
The second part of the package guides students through the stages of the job interview process. Students will learn methods to reduce nerves and tension, prepare for interviews, and to handle questions following the S.T.A.R. model.
The package includes formal lesson plans, teaching notes and two videos.

Lesson 9: Preparing for a job interview
This lesson has been specifically targeted to students who may not have access to positive role models or mentors for advice about acceptable standards of personal presentation.
The lesson includes a video demonstrating a young person “failing” and then “nailing” an interview and a draft worksheet. It is expected that teachers will adjust this lesson plan and utilise the contents as deemed appropriate for their students’ needs.
Lesson 10: Succeeding at Job Interviews
This lesson teaches students practical techniques they can use to ensure they are adequately prepared for job interviews.
The lesson includes advice on job interviews and interview skills that could change your student's entire career trajectory. Teaching resources a video showing how to prepare for an interview, a lesson plan and supporting teaching notes. Teachers are welcome to adjust the content to suit their class needs.
